Anthony Burns is the Founding Partner of Virtus Partners, specializing in sourcing commercial land for development. Recently, he facilitated the acquisition of land near the Calder Casino in Miami Gardens for New York-based Link Logistics, an affiliate of investment giant Blackstone, resulting in a $291 million land sale.
Anthony previously served as Senior Managing Director at Savills Miami, focusing on tenant representation for national and local clients. With 28 years in industrial tenant representation, his strategic advisory has earned multiple awards for outstanding commercial real estate transactions.
His expertise spans all aspects of industrial real estate, including site selection, incentives, entitlements, land assemblage, build-to-suits, cost segregation, sales, leases, and sale-leasebacks. He has notable experience with food facilities and is a recognized expert in Chicago and South Florida redevelopment and adaptive reuse projects.
Before joining Savills in 2020, Anthony was Principal at Sydney Investments and Senior Vice President at Cushman & Wakefield Chicago. He also co-founded NAI Hiffman Chicago, the largest office in the NAI Global network.
Anthony serves as an advisor to the Board of Feeding America and volunteers with Catholic Charities. His accolades include the NAIOP Industrial Transaction of the Year Award (1999, 2002) and the Illinois Greater Chicago Food Depository award for a $100 million build-to-suit project for The Pampered Chef.
